THQ and WWE have released a mountain of information on their upcoming WWE ’13 title scheduled for release on October 30th this year. The game will feature cover athlete and current WWE Champion CM Punk as well as the largest roster in history and a highly-anticipated Attitude Era Mode.
WWE ’13 will see a bunch of new and improved features, including “WWE Live”, an atmosphere-improving technology that will allow for ring breaks and barricade crashes like displayed in the game trailer but also a new audio and presentation system which the company claims is “designed to produce the most authentic and vibrant commentary, sound effects and crowd participation levels ever experienced in a WWE videogame.”
Improvements come in the way of enhancements to the WWE Universe mode and the new Predator Technology engine introduced in last year’s title. The game will also include the same versatile and diverse creation features as previous titles.
A roster that has promised to be “the largest roster in franchise history”, has already been announced to include CM Punk, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Sheamus, Undertaker, Mankind, Chris Jericho, Big Show, Mark Henry and many more to be revealed likely later this summer, probably prior to SummerSlam.
The most exciting feature in many fan’s eyes is the Attitude Era mode. This feature replaces the Road to WrestleMania and takes players through the revolutionary era of WWE’s history by focusing on eight Superstars who defined the Attitude Era and the “Monday Night Wars”, including Steve Austin.

From our friend Stealthy at GamingAngels.com:
Being the avid WWE fan that I am, I watch Monday night Raw pretty much every week. However I wasn’t expecting to see the cover art reveal for WWE13, the next game from THQ. Along with the cover art featuring CM Punk (as revealed by himself with some great pyro), we also got a release date of October 30th!

The trailer for the upcoming WWE ’13 release from THQ found it’s way on the internet recently but despite the company’s best efforts, it is still possible to watch it online. The teaser reveals that the WWE.com viral “A Revolution Is Coming” event was actually pointing to the November 1st release of WWE ’13 featuring CM Punk as the cover Superstar. The video shows several current stars in action, some legends, and some new mechanics including a replication of the ring collapse suplex incident performed by Mark Henry and the Big Show.
Check out the trailer below to see some of it for yourself. Expect to see the full HD trailer revealed as early as this Monday night on WWE Raw.
