Torchlight 2 Close to Four Times the Size of Torchlight

July 23rd, 2012 by Brad Ward

Developer, Runic Games, creators of Torchlight, has announced that their upcoming sequel will be roughly four times the size larger than the first game.

“In terms of scale, Torchlight II is close to four times the scale of Torchlight one as far as assets go, and probably close to that as far as playtime,” said President of Runic Games, Travis Baldree on the Torchlight 2 blog.

Baldree also released a infographic to demonstrate how big Torchlight 2 will actually be compared to its predecessor. It’s stinkin’ huge!

“Ideally, the multiplayer that everyone has asked for will further increase the longevity of the game,” Baldree added. Torchlight II is shaping up to look amazing. With the outcry of horror from players that stopped playing Diablo III there’s a very large change that Torchlight II might be getting the fame it’s deserved too.

Torchlight II is set for a late summer release priced at $20 on the PC. Soon after that, we should be seeing a Mac release for the same price.
