At EVO 2012, fighting game fans got a chance to get their hands on Sony’s version of the mascot brawler: PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
In addition to getting some play time with the game, fans were also treated to the announcement of two more characters. Heihachi Mishima from the Tekken series will join the likes of Nathan Drake and Big Daddy, bringing his Electric Wind God Fist to the fight. Sony says that Heihachi will be a close-combat specialist, using long and flashy combos to pummel his opponents.

Also joining the roster is Toro Inoue, the Sony Cat. Toro is Sony’s mascot in Japan, and PlayStation owners that have been playing Street Fighter X Tekken might recognize him from the 2D-Fighter. He uses a unique stance-switching fighting style, allowing him to go from close-range, long-distance, and area of effect specialist on the fly.
