EA Would Love To Publish a Kingdoms of Amalur 2 Sequel

July 13th, 2012 by Brad Ward

In the latest issue of Gameinformer, EA president, Frank Gibeau says he hopes a sequel to Kingdoms of Amalur 2 would one day be made.

“I think it’s unfortunate how everything worked out. At the end of the day, we saw a lot of creativity and vision in the team that Curt put together. We thought the game was terrific. It reviewed well,” said Frank.

“We built a good business there and hope there’s a sequel to it someday. We’d love to be a partner for that.”

38 Studios is the company that developed Kingdoms of Amalur and it’s MMO, Copernicus. The intellectual property rights now belong to the US state, Rhode Island which is still trying to reclaim it’s loan from 38 studios.

It really is to bad we won’t see a sequel to Kingdoms of Amalur, that game looked wicked sweet and so did the MMO 38 Studios was developing, Copernicus.

Hats off to them for the creativity behind it all, though.
