Demiurge Announces Shoot Many Robots Follow Up: Arena Kings
Following up the release of their 2D shooter Shoot Many Robots, Demiurge Studios has released info on their next game, called Shoot Many Robots: Arena Kings.
A “Competitive indie 2D shooter with underpants,” Arena Kings is a free-to-play standalone title available on PC through Steam that builds upon the previous game, adding in PvP. New content is being added to the game on a weekly basis, which is currently in closed beta.
“We’re taking our favorite parts of Shoot Many Robots and stirring in PvP competition and gameplay that’s constantly evolving. It’s like a big tasty vegetarian stew with lots of guns in it, but also alive and mutating and fighting other soups. While I’ve got notebooks full of weapons, special moves, and pants I can’t wait to add, what’s really exciting is getting to hear from players in the earliest stages of the game’s development and giving them what they’re asking for, sometimes in the very next weekly update.” -Will Jennings, lead designer on Arena Kings.
Items like the butterfly wings, tighty-whities, and deep sea diver helmet will be carried over from the original game, ensuring the deathmatch action will be weird and crazy, and pantsless.
Players can also complete challenges to upgrade their arsenal and unlock achievements.
