In preparation for the upcoming release of Max Payne 3, Rockstar has officially rolled out their new Rockstar Games CREWS feature, which will allow players to form in-game “clans” to dominate Max Payne 3 multiplayer. Crews can also create their own signature crest which will be displayed on their in-game avatars and Crews can be carried over into Grand Theft Auto V upon release.

In addition, any Crew that is created between now and Tuesday, May 15th will earn the distinction of being a Founder Crew. Members of Founder Crews will have a special two-stripe designation on their in-game Crew tag, as well as other special benefits and perks down the line.

Because the Crew feature is linked through Social Club, you can reprepsent your Crew through PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game.

The perk behind forming and battling against other Crews comes down to XP boosts which you get both for fighting as part of a Crew and battling against rival Crews.

To begin using this feature, hit the “CREW UP” button from the Profile Page on the Social Club website. You can browse through featured Crews or invite friends to join your ranks for Gang Wars and Team Deathmatch battles. You can belong to up to five Crews at a time, as well.
