Jason Bateman, Will Arnett Confirm New Arrested Development Movie, Episodes

October 2nd, 2011 by Steve Perry

Spitting in the face of the quick-cancel trigger of FOX, it looks like the rumored Arrested Development movie – and apparently a new 10 episodes – are planned for a 2013 release according to series stars Jason Bateman and Will Arnett. Taking to their respective Twitter accounts, the duo confirmed the news.

“I’m peeing with [Jason Bateman] at the moment,” Arnett said on his Twitter account @arnettwill. “and we can confirm that we are going to make new AD eps and a movie”

“It’s true,” Bateman said on his Twitter wall @batemanjason. “We will do 10 episodes and the movie. Probably shoot them all together next summer for a release in early ’13. VERY excited!”

Along with the rest of the world, Jason. Along with the rest of the world.

UPDATE: Series creator Mitch Hurwitz has confirmed, according to TMZ, that the upcoming ‘limited series’ will tell viewers where the characters of the show have been in the five years since it was last on TV to be followed up by the movie which will likely wrap up the series.
